We’re proudly protecting our environment

At Wānaka TOP 10 Holiday Park, we’re committed to caring for our customers, our staff, our environment and our community.  We’re proud to support the Tiaki Promise, have signed the New Zealand Tourism Sustainability Commitment, and are dedicated to working towards a more sustainable tourism sector.

Tiaki Promise

The Tiaki Promise encourages all people to care for New Zealand’s environment and culture, ensuring it remains beautiful for future generations.

NZ Tourism Commitment

This commitment guides tourism towards sustainable practices, ensuring long-term benefits for New Zealand’s environment and communities.

Our sustainability initiatives

We contribute to a range of initiatives, all of which reflect our values of manakitanga (hospitality), kaitiakitanga (guardianship) and whanaungatanga (kinship).

Wastebusters Recycling

Working alongside the team at Wastebusters, our local recycling and refuse station here in Wānaka, we work toward the goal of reducing our rubbish waste by 10% a year.

Carbon Zero

We are striving to be more respectful of the impact our business has on our local environment and use our carbon footprint as a way to track and impact that goal.

Million Metres Streams

Million Metres Streams is a philanthropic project that directs donations to volunteers who re-establish native plants, aimed at restoring the nation's rivers, streams, lakes and wetlands.

Predator Free 2050

NZ has an ambitious goal to eradicate pests and become Predator Free by 2050. We support backyard trapping and have a number of pest traps around the park.

Love Wānaka

Love Wānaka aims to promote sustainable practices and responsible tourism in the region, minimising its ecological footprint through recycling and waste reduction.

Touchstone Project

The Touchstone Project is a direct action initiative to support the health of Lake Wānaka by raising awareness of impacts around the lake, and how we can ensure our actions have a positive influence.
